So i did it, i was super nervous about the whole thing but mainly about the start. 20 dudes going 120mph into turn 1 does not sound fun. BUT IT WAS!!!!
5th out 9 ...1000 cc / 8th out of 15 ...600 cc
I raced a WERA West event and entered A superstock and B superstock. AKA 1000's and 750's(750 class was all 600 though)
in the 1000's i started 9th out of 9 and by turn one i was 3rd, fell back to 5th, then back to 3rd, but then back to 5th where i finished. I ran my fastest laptime ever at buttonwillow , 2.00.182.
in the 750 class which i was the only 750 the rest were 600s. i was girded 13th out of 15. by turn one i was 6th but i was riding way over my head to stay with the lead pack and had to back it off. i ended up 8th out 15 and ran another 2 flat laptime. super stoked
all in all i had a blast and would highly recommend racing to anyone, super fun and great people.
