Hey guys I just got a 2006 Ninja zx6r with a slip-on leo vince. Do I need a power commander? I keep hearing it'll run too lean without one but not too sure. Some people say no, some say yes...hope to find some truth.

Only a full system will affect your air fuel enough to worry about it. Buying a power commander will help with power delivery even with a slip on. I added a slip on to my SV650. Soon as I added the power commander the bike just opened up. Real nice difference in power delivery. Endorsing rider comradery. One rider at a time! Go CCR!!

The bike could be running lean but im not sure. The power commander could be good for getting a lil extra ponies outa the bike. Be able to fine tune it..... Seriously?

Ok thanks guys. The guy I bought it from told me that the slip on was specifically made for the bike and he seemed pretty trustworthy. Its a leo vince cf slip on, sounds really good but just wanted to check. Again thanks!

What you have to think about when your getting a pc(power commander) is that you do not just slap it on and off you go..Theres a lot more to it than that. The first real simple thing you need to ask yourself is what is the bike doing to me that makes me I "need" a pc? Uhmm pretty much nothing..the bike will breath a lot easier. If you do get a Full system then yes get a ignition module and THEN get it TUNED. Not just a map you get somewhere online. The most real decision maker is do I really need to spend the xtra couple hundred dollars? I think not. Dont worry about the pc and ride hard buddy. ----Team Street Fanatics---- Just how we roll!
