hey everyone, i.m looking for a stator for a 2002 yamaha wr 426. i sent mine to rickystator for repair but they said it was too badly damaged. anew one costs an arm and aleg so please, any info will help.thanks again,

Here ya go. Call a parts place. I reccomend calling Diablo Motorsports. Ask for Dalas. Have him cross referrence the stator to other models. That way you can find one cheaper on ebay. That what I did for my WR500 when I couldnt find a reasonable priced stator. I found one off another bike that worked perfect for mine, by cross referencing the part number. are you telling me that the 250 and the 426 share the same p/n for the stator?

I wish I knew, but I was just mentioning that you could find out by calling and cross referencing them. Im not sure how they do this, but Yamaha is known to use the same part. In this case being a stator. In more than one bike. So I would call a parts place, and ask them. I said Diablo Motorsports because I know that they have done this for me in the past. When you call ask for dallas. Tell him that you were recommended by cencalriders.com, they will be more inclined to help you then. If theres something he can do for you he will. Other than that I did some seaches for that part and couldnt find squat. So your best bet is hoping the stator is used in another bike. This will increase your chances of finding the best deal. i'll now answer my own question. i just searched both the 250 and 426 on bike bandit an viola, the same part number. thanks alot for the help.
