Went up above Pine Flat on trimmer springs Rd. to Bretz Mill. Followed some trails for about 30 miles up to dinky creek rd. A total of about 50 miles.

We were 2 miles from Dinky Creek Rd. and Hwy. 168, but the snow was too thick. The dirt was ice. I was able to do it by myself, but my poor Vue couldn't carry all 4 of us through the thick un-plowed snow uphill. So we had to turn back. So our mission was a failure! We were planning on going all the way up to Dinky Creek on dirt trails from pine flat.

Had 0 problems the whole way. The only real problem I had was not having a true 4 wheel drive. A 4 low gear would of helped a lot with the extra weight I was carrying with 4 passengers.

Not Stuck just taking some pictures

When we got into the snow covered trails, it started to get fun! I was really surprised how I was able to just truck right on threw the ice covered trails with 2 ft. of snow on the roads. Snow got to be 3 ft. deep around 6K feet. At that point I couldnt climb uphill with all of us in the car. Too much weight and stress on the transmission. So we turned around.

This picture is about 5K feet. We made it to 6K feet WITH NO CHAINS!. Coulda kept going if it was only me in the car. Poor VUE didnt have the power to carry all of us through the ice covered trails with snow going up hill.

VIDEO ( To some people this is not considered off roading, but it is to me)

Off roading on dirt roads in the Vue. I wonder how many people think that's a rental. Awesome.

It would be nice having a true 4x4 up there plowing the way. If you were up there paving the way in the deep ass snow i could of went farther up. Maybe made it all the way up to Dinky Creek on the back trails.

On the back left window!! It's there. Big Red letters!

oh yeah....

And I finally felt the electronic controlled steering assist in my car working, while in the snow I let go of my wheel, and it just straightens itself out when the wheel turns. Really helpful and cool!

I might be wrong, but doesn't a vue share the platform w/ a Honda Pilot? Or am I confusing vehicles?

Bought mine a 4 wheel performance for about $480. They won't make it for your vehicle but if you measure your roof, you can compare it to other vehicles and buy that roof rack. For example mine is made for the toyota tocoma.
